MHNPR celebrates Puerto Rican talent!

The Museum of Natural History and Conservation of Aguadilla held an art contest inspired by Puerto Rico's natural history and recognizing its geological wealth. Public school students from kindergarten through twelfth grade submitted various works of art inspired by science and its relation to the Island. There were three categories: Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced, with three winners selected from each.

The awards ceremony was held in person at the Museum on November 22, 2025. Deborah Martorell, the Museum’s godmother, participated in the awards ceremony, encouraging the winners to continue pursuing their love for the arts and sciences. The awards were presented to the students by our President and Founder, Maribel Ramírez; our Executive Director, Prof. Pablo Llerandi; and our Coordinator of Educational Activities, Frank Suárez. All participants were free to view the Museum's exhibits, Tierra Dinámica and Flora borinqueniana.
